Virtually all of the products carried offer a cordless option. This provides convenient, easy operation and a very neat appearance with no lift cords to deal with. They are also geared towards enhancing child safety, by reducing the instances of dangerous, dangling cords. For cordless operation, it is especially important to have a tough, well-designed system. While cordless is a safety asset particularly in children’s rooms, children are not generally the most careful users. It is very frustrating to have a cordless treatment that won’t hang level, or which can’t be raised and lowered. I have had my own experiences with both and learned the hard way before I discovered the systems that I use now. Also, consider whether you can easily reach to the top of the window where the shade will be when fully raised; if not, motorization might be the best way to eliminate lift cords.
